You can also get in on the fun at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, which offers free hula and ukulele lessons as well as instruction in Hawaiian quilting and lei making. By taking the bus, the cost is only $2.00 a trip, or you can buy your four-day tourist pass for $20 at a local convience store. If you are going to be there for a month, you can still get a bargain by purchasing the $40.00 monthly pass. Another way to travel is to rent a bike. Both the North Shore and Lanikai have pleasant bike paths to explore.

Places to eat and stay: Oahu has some great culinary destination with European and Asian techniques mixed with Pacific ingredients.  If you are looking for fun, shopping and great food then you must experience Oahu. It is known as Hawaii’s “gathering place.” Spend a romantic time with yours truly at restaurants and local hot spots serving Hawaii’s best-known cuisine. There are so many family friendly restaurants and elegant beachfront hotel restaurants offering everything from French and Mexican to Thai and Japanese. Oahu offers unique dining options in beautiful settings that include sandy beaches, under a starlit sky and with live Hawaiian music and hula shows.
